At H.M. Sweeny, it has always been our priority to provide our customers with top-of-the-line education so that they can tackle any tasks in the industry. We do this through our HVAC Academy. For over 40 years, our HVAC Academy has offered a variety of classes to technicians in various stages of their careers. Read on to see what classes we offer today!
HVAC Basic Class
For those new to the industry, we offer a 15-week class that goes over the basic theory, math, and science of HVAC. In this class, students have the chance to meet with leading professionals in the industry and train with live, working HVAC equipment.
Basic Class April, 1986
For those who have experience working in the industry and are ready to further their careers, we offer our Journeyman/Masters Prep Class and Gas Fitter Class. These classes meet for two consecutive Saturdays and are designed to prepare you for the Journeyman/Masters license tests and the Master Gas Fitter test.

EPA Certification
At H.M. Sweeny, we offer several resources for those who are ready to get their EPA Certification. For those prepping to take the test, we offer the EPA Section 608 Study Guide in English and Spanish. Once you are ready to take the test, come to Sweeny’s! For the low cost of $100, you can take your EPA Section 608 Test for Types I, II, III, and Universal.
